Jewish Learning Fellowship
JLF is a 10-week experiential, conversational cohort for students looking to deepen their understanding of Judaism on their own terms. We’re interested in building friendships, creating community, and asking big questions. You know, the big stuff —like Who am I? What communities am I a part of? What is worth committing myself to, and why? For students who complete 8 or the 10 sessions, students will receive a $180 stipend. Food will be served at all cohort sessions.
Kol Yisrael
Kol Yisrael is a 6-week cohort learning experience designed to explore Diaspora Jews’ relationship to Israel. Using contemporary, biblical and rabbinic sources, this curriculum invites students to explore and uncover some of the timeless questions that emerge around Israel as an aspect of a thoughtful Jewish adulthood. For students who complete 5 of the 6 sessions, students will receive a $150 stipend. Food will be served at all cohort sessions.
Jewish Studies
Students are welcome to take a variety of classes to expand their knowledge of Jewish history and the history of Israel. While the class selection changes each semester, select courses offered regularly include The Formation of the Judaic Heritage, The Shaping of Modern Judaism; The Nazi Genocide and the Holocaust; and Zionism and the State of Israel. Students may also approach individual instructors to arrange for independent study. For a current list of offerings, students can access the course catalog through their SOLAR account.
