Gloria and Mark Snyder Hillel Center (Union Suite L11)

The Gloria and Mark Snyder Hillel Center serves as the home for Stony Brook Hillel and is located in the recently renovated Student Union. We officially opened our doors in fall 2000 thanks to the generosity of our donors Gloria ‘72 and Mark ‘69 Snyder. Our space is open to all students looking to learn and engage with Judaism and Israel. The Snyder Hillel Center is a vibrant space full of history, laughter, prayer and is truly the hub of Jewish life at Stony Brook.

Interfaith Chapel (Union Suite L10)

Our Interfaith Chapel is the home for spirituality on campus. Various faith groups hold daily and weekly prayer services open to the entire student body. This multipurpose space is also perfect for movie or game nights, Shabbat dinner, student group meetings, and more! Our Orthodox Saturday morning prayer services are hosted in the Interfaith Chapel.

Navigating Campus & Parking

There is ample parking available to all of our guests. From the main entrance to campus, turn right on Campus Drive. At the second stop sign, make a left onto Stadium Drive. Follow Stadium Drive around and you’ll see the Stony Brook Union in front of you to the right. If you do not have a parking pass, you are welcome to park in the paid lot at the front of the Union.

Stony Brook University is also accessible via the LIRR to the Stony Brook station. From the station, it is about a 7 - 10 minute walk, or you can take the campus bus. Please ask the driver if they stop at the Stony Brook Union prior to boarding.
